Life Transformed and Spirit Enabled (2 Corinthians Series #3)

God’s Spirit brings freedom and life. Maybe that is something you are looking for today?

I am always amazed listening to people’s stories and seeing the fingerprints of God’s Spirit. This week, two people were sharing life changing moments in their childhood which took them on vastly different paths. Away from self-destruction and to hope and a future. Both commented that they believed God had brought these revelations.

God’s Spirit brings freedom and life. Maybe that is something you are looking for today?

It is found in only one person, Jesus Christ. This was the truth that Paul shared with the Corinthian church and shares with us today.

But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. (2 Cor 3:16-18)

Each day, as we surrender to Christ, we are being transformed into his likeness. We are finding freedom from fears and oppressions. We are finding strength and courage to stand for Jesus in difficulties. We are learning to be faithful as he is faithful to us. We are growing in boldness to declare his message and live it out before others. And we are finding righteousness as we open our deepest parts to his light and renewing.

Maybe you think you have a long way to go? I know I do. But I trust in him, hold to him, live for him and his Spirit, the voice of Christ, continues to chip away. We are his workmanship.
